  • Call your senator to oppose Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court
    Updated On: Aug 22, 2018

The Trump administration’s decision to nominate Brett Kavanaugh to the highest court in the land puts the freedom of all working people on the line.

Working women are coming together this week to oppose Kavanaugh's nomination. This Wednesday, August 22, working people will rally at the Supreme Court to keep the pressure on our legislators to oppose any justice who will jeopardize rights. If you can't be in DC at the rally, you can still have a great impact by calling your senator now and urging him or her to stand up for working people's freedom by contesting Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Working peoples’ rights—from the ability to choose if, how and when to become parents, to our right to safe, dignified working conditions and the ability to collectively bargain for better benefits, including access to a full range of health care—will be jeopardized with Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court bench.

Judge Kavanaugh has routinely ruled against working families and often sides with employers to refuse working people relief from workplace discrimination. His record does not indicate a judge who would be independent, fair or dedicated to protecting worker safety or collective bargaining laws.

Something wonderful has been happening in America, and working people are taking collective action like we haven’t seen in decades. So it’s not surprising that people are taking to the streets in support of a Supreme Court committed to upholding the rights working families are working so hard to protect.

    In solidarity,

    Nakisha
