    JAVITS DECISION

The TWU-IAM Association today announced that Neutral Joshua Javits issued his final integrated seniority lists for the Mechanic and Related, Fleet Service and Stores work groups at American Airlines.

The final lists are the completion of an investigation Neutral Javits conducted regarding protests of the initial seniority lists, issued on December 27, 2016. The final integrated seniority lists show all seniority dates amended as a result of that protest process.

Neutral Javits considered over 1,600 protests from approximately 1,700 employees. Each protester will receive a letter from Neutral Javits explaining the determination of his or her protest.

These seniority lists will become effective upon ratification of the Joint Collective Bargaining Agreements. View all final integrated seniority lists, Neutral Javits’ memo and the updated former TWA Seniority by Station Title/Group Matrix below.

  • Flight Attendant Call For Action

    TWU LEGISLATIVE ACTION:

Support Flight Attendant 10 Hours Rest

    September 21, 2018

With the FAA extension set to expire at the end of September, the House and Senate are working today to reach a final compromise on FAA reauthorization.

While the House version of FAA reauthorization would guarantee flight attendants 10 hours rest, the Senate bill would allow for just 9 hours rest.

Senate Republicans currently are pressuring lawmakers to accept their weaker provision, but the TWU knows that flight attendants need and deserve guaranteed rest, and 9 hours is not enough.

Call your Senators today and ask them to tell Senator Thune to support 10 hours of rest for flight attendants. You can use the number and script below to make the call.

    • DIAL: (202) 224-3121 AND FOLLOW PROMPTS TO BE CONNECTED TO YOUR SENATORS
    • “Hi, my name is ________. I’m a constituent and member of the Transport Workers Union.
    • “The House and Senate are finishing work on the FAA reauthorization bill.
    • “It’s important that the final bill guarantees flight attendants the rest they need and deserve. That means providing them 10 hours of rest.
    • “I want my Senator to talk to Senator Thune and urge him to accept the House provision that would ensure all flight attendants get 10 hours of rest.
    • “Will the Senator make that call?”
    • (WAIT FOR RESPONSE. GIVE THEM YOUR NAME & ADDRESS TO REGISTER YOUR CALL)
    • “Thank you. Have a nice day.”  (HANG UP.)
