After several phone calls and meetings with the Company over the last 24 hours, the Company has agreed that Base Maintenance Members at DWH and TUL will be able to observe the Memorial Day Holiday at home with their families if they so choose. I believe this will be the first time in 16 years that we as Base workers will have the choice to take Memorial Day at home with 8 hours pay or if you are scheduled to work on the Holiday and choose to, you will be compensated at 2.5X pay.
If you elect to take the day off, please give your Supervisor or Manager an AOI stating you would like to take the day off no later than Saturday, May 25th at 1400. If no AOI is turned in then you will be expected to work the day if scheduled.
