    2026 Seniority protest window is open from January 30, 2026, through March 01, 2026

    The listed applicable groups are from the JCBA contracts. Always refer to the current JCBA article for more clarification on a seniority protest.

    M & R Seniority ARTICLE 11 

    L. The Company shall post a seniority list by the last day of January of each year and employees or the Association may protest any omission or error affecting any employee's seniority within thirty (30) days of the current posting. Such lists, published by Group or Classification, will provide, at minimum, the name, employee number, seniority number, Classification seniority date, Company seniority date, job classification, and station of each employee, covered under this Agreement. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of thirty (30) days from his date of return to service to file a protest.

    MLS Seniority ARTICLE 11

    K. The  Company shall post a seniority list by the last day of January of each year and employees or the Association may protest any omission or error affecting any employee's seniority within thirty (30) days of the current posting. Such lists, published by Group or Classification, will provide, at minimum, the name, employee number, seniority number, Classification seniority date, Company seniority date, job classification, and station of each employee, covered under this Agreement. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of thirty (30) days from his date of return to service to file a protest.

    MCT Seniority ARTICLE 11

    F. The Company shall post a seniority list by the last day of January of each year, and employees or the Association may protest any omission or error affecting any employee's seniority within thirty (30) days of the current posting. Such lists, published by group or classification, will provide, at minimum, the name, employee number, Classification Seniority date, Company seniority date, job classification, and station of each employee, covered under this Agreement. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of fifteen (15) days from his date of return to service to file a Protest.

    MTS Seniority ARTICLE 11

    F. The Company shall post a seniority list by the last day of January of each year and employees or the Association may protest any omission or error affecting any employee's seniority within thirty (30) days of the current posting. Such lists, published by group or classification, will provide, at minimum, the name, employee number, classification seniority date, Company seniority date, job classification, and station of each employee, covered under this Agreement. Any employee on leave at the time of posting will have a period of fifteen (15) days from his date of return to service to file a protest. 

    - Timely submissions received on or before March 01, 2026, will be reviewed and a final determination of seniority, adjustment or denial, will be binding on the parties. Keep in mind that all seniority dates prior to September 16, 2016, were subject to an earlier final and binding protest process. All seniority determinations will be recorded and final revised seniority lists will be posted by the Company.
