Shop Steward Elections for Calendar Year 2019
In accordance with TWU Local 567 By-Laws, Shop Steward Elections will be held in December 2018. Nominations for the 2019 Shop Steward Elections will be accepted November 7, 2018 through November 21, 2018. Elected Shop Stewards will take office January 1, 2019.
Balloting will be conducted exclusively online through the TWU Local 567 website. You MUST be registered on the site and a member in good standing to nominate and vote for shop stewards. In order to be eligible for a Shop Steward position, the nominee must be a member in good standing. Please download the attached Nomination form and submit either in person to the TWU Local 567 Union Office at DWH, at the November 21, 2018 General Membership Meeting or by email to: tcava@twu567.org. Nominations will not be accepted after the November 21, 2018 cutoff date.
Shop Steward Positions will be filled as follows:
MLS - 1 afternoon shift slot & 1 midnight slot
OSM Shops - 1 dayshift slot
Avionics - 1 dayshift slot
AMT - 1 dayshift slot, 2 afternoon slots, & 1 midnight slot
MCT - 1 dayshift slot & 1 nightshift slot
All incumbent Shop Stewards will be automatically nominated
Nomination Forms attached for your specific job areas
Nomination forms must be filled out completely and returned no later than November 21, 2018. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. Candidates must accept their nomination prior to being placed on the ballot. Balloting will be open December 10, 2018 through December 21, 2018.
**Any Shop Steward that changes shift after the election may have to relinquish their position**
