On July 15 the company introduced a new voluntary early out program (VEOP) and a long-term voluntary leave of absence (VLOA) program for all active, U.S.-based mainline represented team members, excluding pilots.
The application window opens today and the deadline to apply is Aug. 12 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Please take the time to review the programs and reach out to your leaders or People Business Partner if you have questions.
We do not plan to extend the application window or open additional voluntary early out programs in the future, so we strongly encourage you to consider applying for this VEOP or VLOA if it makes sense for you. Many of our team members have dedicated their lives and careers to American and making it what it is today. Deciding to end your career or take an extended leave is not simple or easy. But, it may be the right thing for you and your family, or the thing that helps our company survive and eventually thrive.
