    Updated On: Mar 30, 2021

COVID-19 vaccine now available at DFW Airport

We are pleased to announce that in partnership with the DFW Airport, we will begin offering DFW airport-based team members the opportunity to receive the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine at DFW Airport. The State of Texas is providing DFW Airport a limited supply of Pfizer vaccine doses to be distributed to airport employees who are Texas residents, including American Airlines team members, beginning Wednesday, March 31.

According to the State of Texas, all DFW airport-based mainline and regional team members who reside in Texas are eligible. We encourage you to reserve your spot as soon as possible, as appointments are limited.

Schedule your COVID-19 vaccine appointment at DFW

Beginning Wednesday, DFW Airport will begin administering vaccine doses by appointment only at the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Headquarters located at 3600 S. 20th Avenue, Euless, TX 76039. See the attached map for location.

To sign up for a vaccination appointment at DFW, follow these instructions and reference the attached flyer:

    -         First, register in the DFW Vaccine Registration Portal at this link.

    -         Once registration is complete, you will receive an email from DFW.Vaxcess@dfwairport.com to confirm your registration was received.

    -         Within a few days, you’ll receive an email from the above email address confirming the date and time of your first vaccine appointment along with a personal QR code.

    -         If that appointment doesn’t work for you, simply click “reschedule” and select a date and time that fits your needs.

Please note, team members are encouraged to select an available appointment time before or after their shift, as staffing coverage is limited. Remember, if the appointment that the system generates doesn’t work for you, simply click “reschedule” and select a date and time that fits your needs. If you cannot schedule your appointment outside of your work schedule – appointments are available weekdays through April 14 – and you need to use sick time or vacation time, please contact your respective manning department:

    -         For team members in Customer Ops, please call (972) 425-4240

    -         For team members in Customer Care, please call (972) 425-1995

    -         For team members in Flight, please call the Chief Pilot Office

    -         For team members in Flight Service, reach out to your Flight Service Manager. On and after April 1, you should contact (800) 423-3444

    -         For team members in Tech Ops, please call (972) 425-3090

    -         For team members in Cargo, please call (972) 425-4618

    -         For team members in Premium Guest Services, please call (972) 425-7135

Team members may sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at DFW over the next couple weeks during the following dates/timeslots. Please note, appointments are limited.

To prepare for your vaccine appointment, please bring your American Airlines identification badge, your Texas driver’s license and your appointment QR code. You must stay for observation at least 15 minutes after receiving your shot.

American Airlines cares about your health, safety and well-being, and we encourage team members to take advantage of any available opportunity to be vaccinated. Our priority was to inform you as soon as possible of this development.

If you have questions, we encourage you to join a team member virtual townhall this week hub leadership and medical staff from Premise Health to learn more about the vaccine and ask any questions you might have. We will send a follow up email with dial-in information.

Please be advised that vaccination should be deferred if you have recently tested positive for COVID-19. It’s recommended that you should wait a minimum of 10 days after being sick to receive your vaccine to limit the chance of adverse reactions.
